Term 4 has begun with a variety of opportunities for engagement in sporting events for our High School students.

A team of eight students from Years 7 to 9 represented Shearwater at the North Coast Independent Schools (NCIS) surfing competition (pictured above), held at Sawtell at the start of term, with two students achieving 1st and 3rd place in the U16 girls competition. Congratulations to Mali Adam and Shanti Puzzarini.

We also had three Shearwater teams compete in a Basketball NSW 3×3 gala day at Ballina Indoor Sports Centre this week, alongside other independent schools from the region. The Shearwater teams included junior girls (Year 8), junior boys (Year 7/8) and senior boys (Year 9/10).

And in volleyball news, our series of friendly matches with Cape Byron Rudolf Steiner School continued this week, with plenty of good-natured competition and fun had by all!
