Last month, 19 of Shearwaters competitive athletes put on their blues to compete against the best high school students in the region at the north coast independent school athletics carnival held in Coffs Harbour.

In true Shearwater fashion, our students cheered on the competitors from every school, and celebrated each student’s personal achievements. Everyone performed well and we left the stadium with some regional placements from the following students: Djali Adams in Year 8 came fist in the shotput, with Lior Lavi throwing third in the same event; Year 10 student Oliver Fernley confidently took first place in the high jump; and Elke Hegh in Year 7 ran a strong second in the 200 meters.
