Year 8 Botany

The world is a magnificent place, thriving through the wondrous lens of Mother Nature. Lachie and Michael’s Year 8 are studying the processes of cellular respiration and photosynthesis in correlation with aspects of Botany, including multicellular plant structure, growth, maintenance and development.

Through the magnification of the microscope students have been capturing some truly amazing images of microscopic plant structures including xylem, phloem, ovules and pollen. Students have also been investigating the human behaviours required to manage and conserve nature’s processes for the future.
