Blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast, Class 5 and 6 have had the opportunity to develop and deepen their knowledge and appreciation for the ever-changing ocean environment, as part of Shearwater’s Aquatic Awareness Program.

From learning about rips and currents, safety, signs and signals, wave types and the ocean’s ecosystems and diversity, the students have explored their new skills and knowledge in the surf, with many hours of fun learning to ride a wave and navigate their way in the ocean safely. It has truly been remarkable, and an honour, to watch them flourish and grow with such confidence, respect, love and care for our ocean environments.
