In this edition of our school newsletter, we’re delighted to offer you a glimpse into the vibrant world of the 6J classroom, where every day is filled with excitement, curiosity, and endless possibilities.

We are currently engaged in a captivating exploration of Australian history through the lens of the infamous Kelly Gang. Through artwork, discussions, and personal projects, the students are delving into the complexities of Edward ‘Ned’ Kelly’s life and legacy. Each student is creating a book – The Kelly Gang Project: A Personal Voyage, that explores the fascinating stories and historical significance of this period of our history, fostering research skills, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for our nation’s past.

Elsewhere in the Class 6 curriculum, the students have been busy unravelling the mysteries of business, having embarked on an exhilarating journey into the realm of financial mathematics. With eager minds and a thirst for knowledge, they are diving deep into concepts like percentages, interest, income and profit. Through hands-on activities and real-world applications, students are not only mastering mathematical skills but also gaining a profound understanding of how math intersects with the worlds of commerce and finance.

Beyond academics, our classroom is a haven for creativity and collaboration, as the children are encouraged to express themselves and celebrate their unique talents. Through shared experiences and meaningful interactions, we are building a strong sense of community where every voice is heard, valued, and respected.

As we look to the future, we’re filled with excitement for the adventures that lie ahead. With each day Class 6 is growing, learning, and discovering new passions, fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime!
