Class 5 embarked on a wonderful adventure into the Gibraltar Range this term, spending three nights at Mulligans Hut Campground in Washpool National Park. The weather was hot and the children loved the crystal clear waters. A short walk from the campsite boasts a large and beautiful waterhole, edged by lomandras and another short walk away from the divine, blooming waratahs.
We went on two beautiful walks, the 9km Tree Fern Forest Track and the steep 6km forest walk to the Murrumbooee Cascades. The adventurous among us discovered a delightful swimming hole, complete with cave and waterfalls, and created a great enthusiasm to one day return, to explore these gentle rivers and steep valleys in further detail. Please enjoy some photos from our camp, these little adventurers will be primed for more outdoors next year!
